Rotary Die Cutting
When it comes to piece cutting, the possibilities are endless! You just specify a shape, and more than likely, we can cut it-thanks to our engraved rotary cutting tools. Plus, our dies are produced to match the exact tolerance you're seeking. Linear perforating, cross perforating, scoring, kiss cutting and extended liner all are possible with this technique. Recommended use on higher volume jobs.
- Cutting tolerance of +.001" (or tool-specific)
- Maximum cutting perimeter = 16.0" x 18.0"
- Maximum unwind diameter = 30.0"
- Maximum rewind diameter = 24.0"
Flat Bed Die Cutting
This cutting option lends itself to a broad range of volume requirements and material specifications. Thicker and tougher substrates usually cut well as do many metal foil and high-density materials. And it's common for embossing operations to use this technique. See this handy work on our custom-foam carton inserts.
- Cutting tolerance of +.001" (or tool-specific)
- Maximum cutting perimeter = 20.0" x 28.0"
Slitting and Rewinding
Unwind, cut and rewind all in one operation! This technique allows for a variety of pressure-sensitive films, foils, papers, cloth, foams, laminates and other substrates to be cut. All equipment is versatile and can handle score, shear or razor cutting.
- 1/2" to 60" slit widths
- Cutting tolerance of +.015"
- Rewind core sizes: 1.0", 1.5", 3.0"
- Unwind core sizes: 3.0", 6.0", 10.0"
- Rewind maximum roll diameter: 24.0"
- Unwind maximum roll diameter: 42.0"
Single-Blade Cutting
Cut your non-adhesive and adhesive-coated materials here! Single-blade cutting allows for the actual slicing of pre-wound log rolls of materials in specific widths.
- 1/16" to 60" slit widths
- Cutting tolerance of +.003"
- Maximum roll diameter: 18.0"
- Core sizes: 1.0", 3.0"
Laminating
Looking to create new materials? Then look no further. Simply by joining pressure-sensitive products to other pressure-sensitive products, liners, papers, cloths, foils, films, laminates and more, you can create a brand new material! Rotary, delaminate, and multi-layer lamination capabilities. Your combination wish is our command.
- Maximum laminating width: 30.0"
- Roll-to-sheet capability: 30.0" x 48.0"
- Roll-to-roll capability: 18.0" width, 24.0" diameter
- Sheet-to-sheet capability: 30.0" x 48.0"
- Maximum layers: material dependent
Printing
Whether you need to print for product identification, corporate ID, material certification or tamper evidence, we can help you do just that. Through the availability of flexographic printing on a variety of pressure-sensitive substrates, we can print backings of polypropylene, polyester, metalized polyester film, PVC film, crepe paper, flatback paper, rigid vinyl film and more. From printed box sealing tape to high-temperature electronic polyester tape, we have the right process to fit your needs.
- Maximum print width = 12.0"
- Minimum print width = .375"
- Maximum printed roll diameter = 18.0"
- Print colors: 4 color capability
Salvage Rewinding
In the tape biz, it's unfortunately common for rolls of pressure-sensitive tape or materials to become misshapen in the finishing process or through improper storage. But never fear! Evans/EVCO uses salvage rewinding to return material to a useable specification as opposed to throwing it out. That's right. Through this process, we're able to salvage narrow width, long-length rolls. Pretty cool, huh?
- Maximum roll width = 2.5"
- Maximum unwind roll diameter = 12.0"
- Maximum rewind roll diameter = 12.0"
